"The connection a man has with his father shapes his life". Franz Kafka "The Judgement" portrays a scrap father-son relationship. In this story Georg Bendemann which played the rolled of the son sat by his window writing to a long time friend living in Russia. Nevertheless as the story goes on this unnamed friend seems be to just an fragment of his imagination. The story then took another turn when his father speak as if Georg's friend was some what related to him or he have meant him before. He felt as if this friend was "more of a man " than Georg , he spoke highly about him. In my opinion I believe his father has no relation to this "friend" , he was just a mean old man. The way he spoke about Georg friend took a toll on him because he seems to always wanted that father and son relationship because his mom passed away other than his wife his dad is all he got. What was a sock to me was when his dad told him to kill his self and he event thought with it.
As for the "Country Doctor" I struggle with that a bit . It was hard for me to find a viewers point as a reader. It started with a country doctor set forth on his journey to travel from his estate to treat a sick patient who's ten miles away. However he need a horse for his carriage to get him there when he arrived at the patient house he did everything he could to treat the young boy who had a blood infection . He then
whispers to the doctor that he wanted to die but the doctor knew if he had let him die his life would also be taken. I felt this story was all over the place. I didn't understand how the doctor laying down naked next to him would cure him from his sickeness.
Don't the villagers strip the doctor and put him in bed w/ the patient? Is it to cure him or for some other reason?
