Welcome to the blog for Prof. John Talbird's English 204 class. The purpose of this site is two-fold: 1) to continue the conversations we start in class (or to start conversations before we get to class) and 2) to practice our writing/reading on a weekly basis in an informal forum.

The Judgement
In the Judgement i was confused as to why Georg has doubts to write to his friend in Russia. The more i thought about it, after reading to the end, and reading that the father says that he knows this person better than Georg, writes to him more, i felt that this "friend" is the fathers bastard son. But then again i could be wrong, any thoughts anyone ?

That's real interesting because i never looked at it that way but the story is very confusing and you can actually interpret it in many different ways. That's what makes the author stands out because when reading all his stories from what was giving to us in class, its never just straight to the point and easy to understand. his writing always make us think and interpret his stories using a lot of different point of view but you could be right or you could be wrong, that could be his bastard son, that's just something we'll never know though. :)
