In the penal colony by Kafka.The story of an explorer,who get invited to an island to watch an execution by machine . I felt it was a difficult story and different from the stories we read because in the penal colony the explorer is forced to execute one of the officers in the jail, however the judgment or the metamorphosis the story ends by commits suicide. In the penal colony, I think the theme of the story is about not getting a fair justice system.
I agree with you on the fact that in both the judgment and the metamorphosis, the main characters commit suicide at the end of both stories. What do you mean by the story being about an unfair justice system?
