Welcome to the blog for Prof. John Talbird's English 204 class. The purpose of this site is two-fold: 1) to continue the conversations we start in class (or to start conversations before we get to class) and 2) to practice our writing/reading on a weekly basis in an informal forum.

                              William Gaddis The carpenter's Gothic

The  Dialogue in Gothic, I think it is harder than other book that we read in class, because the author wants us to  read and stop and go back and read it once more time, focus and understand better. The author way of catching reader attention. It is complected  to understand because the author does not say who is the speaker rather its like he or she said. The author  does not name the character to make it realest.
