I know I shouldn't judge yet but after reading the first chapter I feel like definitely questioning what this book is about. So I guess my complaint is that its starting pretty slow. Paul seems like an aggressive, stressed out drunk. Billy seems like any other twenty something year old that kind of lives life care free and for the moment. Liz definitely seems like a very weak character. Soft spoken and anxiety driven women who lets everyone walk all over her. I don't really understand whats going on with the money because from Pauls point of view Billy gets money whenever he wants but then it also seems like Billy is always trying to borrow money. And why is it that Adolph supposedly is always getting Billy out of "ruts" but can't help Paul and Liz in the hole that they are in.
Another thing I noticed and found amusing was that at one point Paul complains that he feels as though Liz just doesn't listen to him when he speaks, but it is truly the other way around. I am interested in seeing this book pick up, plot thicken, or something. I also believe the author could have used more commas in the dialogues. I think it would have helped me understand the tone of voice from the characters better and understand what they were trying to say. We'll see. So far I feel like I could not read a page of this book if I had a minute amount of tiredness in my eyes tho.
