What was symbolic about the Breedlove apartment?
The author makes it sound as if the storefront doesn't blend in with any other building. What happened that makes it so different?
I think you're right that it is symbolic. But how about if we just think about it as what it is. What would it be like to life in a place whose purpose is for selling stuff?
