After reading "The Judgment" by Franz Kafka, I feel that Georg should have told his friend the truth about his life. In all of the letters that Georg writes, he doesn't tell the friend about how successful he is and that he is getting married. I think that the friend in Russia could be related to Georg in some way because of how he used to be close to Georg's family. It is also possible that Georg does not really have a friend and that Georg could be imagining him. I was shocked that at the end of the story, Georg kills himself by drowning. Georg is a very confused young man and I think Georg's father believes that his son is a bad person. I also believe that Georg's mother's death has contributed to his strange behavior.
I found Franz Kafka's "A County Doctor" very confusing because I had a hard time understanding what was going on. I felt that there was too much going on in the story. I thought that the doctor should not have gone with the stranger because you shouldn't trust people you haven't met before. I believe that in the story the doctor may be sick and is hallucinating certain things. For example when he examines the boy, he claims that there are worms in the wound, and later says it is not too bad. It is only a wound made by "two hatchet blows". The story gets stranger as it progresses.
